As far a scrupulo.com goes, well, first you need to know that I have an interest in webdesign to the point where I actually manage a site other than this one. Sure, I like to design and program… So why did I use a CMS? I didn’t want to have to deal with creating a whole CMS, especially when good ones are already available. This is why dessemundo.com runs on wordpress. I built the design from scratch and used the wonders of wordpress’s template tags to implement the blog. You’ll probably notice, by the amount of typos, that I have no business having a blog. Yeah, I agree.
My other site is scrupulo.com it’s were all my web design work sits, from time to time the formats of both sites crossover, but I keep them separate for a reason. Just as a fun bit of trivia, that site does run on a custom CMS, which I wrote so I could add porfolio items, new and pages all from one place without having to rewrite the backend code everytime.
